The code consists of a MAIN PROGRAM (Be2DIE.for; Boundary Element for Two-Dimensional Isotropic Elasticity) and a set of User-defined MODULE (User0, A-L). A project can be created
by writing consistently the User-defined subroutines and functions. Examples are included. The code was developed and tested with COMPAQ VISUAL FORTRAN on MS WINDOWS 2000. Since the source codes
are included, one may try to assemble the project on UNIX or so as needed. Problems that can be solved by the tool include: 1. multiple bodies, in conformal contact with friction and/or cohesive
strength 2. multiple cracks, and crack propagation in pure opening mode or shear mode (maximum tangential or shear stress criterion) 3. uniform hydrostatic eigenstrain in each body 4. far-field
loading in an infinite plane 5. progressive loading (through external boundary and/or eigenstrain field) 6. progressive interfacial decohesion.
