Title Tetra-Tethered POSS Micelles 1
Creator(s) Chan, Elaine
Abstract/Summary Simulation Software: Glotzer Group Code Simulation Method: Brownian Dynamics A system of 1000 building blocks of POSS (polyhedral oligomeric silsesquioxanes) with 4 homopolymer tethers, each consisting of 2 beads, at concentration 0.25 was run starting from an initial configuration generated under athermal conditions. The system was instantaneously quenched to a temperature of 1.25. The system was then run for 4 million time steps forming a disordered micellar phase. The solvent was selectively good for tethers and poor for POSS cages. Simulation Model: United Atom Bead Spring with Lennard-Jones and FENE
